Was it possible to bridge the two by creating a wine that inspires and highlights the intricacies of Japanese cuisine and enhances the overall experience?

We knew there were others who would enjoy the same, a wine that compliments sushi s finer flavors the taste of the sea natural to nori, the sweetness of rice vinegar, the spice of wasabi, the edge of ginger and of course the unique qualities of select fish. A white wine to pair with these elements would need to be crisp, possess the right amount of fruit and a balanced body that inspires the next bite without overpowering the palate.

Likewise, we wanted a supple red that could stand up to the rich flavors of teriyaki, tonkatsu and other Asian dishes, a robust yet subtle blend of fruits and tannins that one could enjoy before, during or after the meal.

In pursuit of these profiles, we partnered with key high quality wine producers in California to help us create the perfect wines to pair with Japanese cuisine. We know you ll enjoy them& Kanpai!

 var gaJsHost = (("https:" == document.location.protocol) ?
